Deterioration wood and inadequate support beams

Many of the 1 x 4 slats were warped

After the old structure was dismantled new supporting posts and beams were installed

Metal tie plates secure the beams to the wall

 2 x 4 slats were installed leaving a a gap

The hatch set aside to allow access
